New Rihanna Single On Wednesday

Rihanna will give fans a preview of her upcoming seventh album (holy toledo 7th album already!!?) on Wednesday with the premiere of her new single, “Diamonds”.  The track is hitting your local radio stations at 8a.m. EST and if you decide you like it, iTunes will be happy to take your money when it is available, approximately an hour after its radio debut.

There isn’t much else as far as info is concerned for the album, but I can tell you that this new single is produced by Stargate, who are also responsible for a few other Rihanna hits (Don’t Stop The Music, Only Girl In The World and What’s My Name) and the songstress has described the record as “happy and hippie”.  We’ll see come Wednesday if she has yet another hit under her belt.

Kendrick Lamar Brings Lupe Fiasco On Stage

Kendrick surprised the audience at his Chicago show when he called upon Lupe Fiasco to join him on the stage.  In a “passing of the torch” moment, Lu labelled Kendrick “The Next Big Thing”, and dropped a quick verse much to the enjoyment of a hyped up crowd.
